Welcome! I am Kelly, and I am running for Wolfville Town Council.
Please support me in my pledge to make the future as bright as possible for all those in our town.
The first thing you should know about me is that I LOVE Wolfville. I was born and raised just outside Wolfville in the Gaspereau Valley. My maiden name is Corkum!
After high school, I moved away for higher education and a dream career at Google.
Now, having settled in Wolfville with my husband and young children I look forward to using my leadership, business acumen and drive for excellence to serve the residents and businesses of Wolfville.

President, Wolfville Business Development Corporation
I have been serving on the WBDC since 2021 and was elected President in June 2023. It has been an honor to represent Wolfville's business community, and I plan to continue as President if I am awarded a seat on the council. During my tenure as President, the WBDC implemented several large-scale projects such as the Wolfville Sign and Hammocks on Waterfront Park, as well as the When In Wolfville Gift Card Program, which was launched in September 2024 to promote economic growth within the business community.

Associate Head Coach, Acadia Cross Country
Running is a passion of mine and perhaps more than just a hobby. Coaching has been an opportunity for me to share what I have learned in my own running journey, but to also impart a lifelong love for the sport. It has been an absolute joy coaching the Acadia XC Team. This year I also hope to start a recreational run club in partnership with the Student Mental Health Initiative to encourage anyone and everyone to start running!
Property Investor, landlord and Planning Advisory Committee
In 2020, we completed the new build project that is our family home on Main St Wolfville. My husband and I are passionate about design, architecture and real estate. Since moving into our home we have invested in two other properties in Wolfville. One is a commercial property and the other is student apartments. It has been an exciting journey for us and we hope to be able to continue to invest in the Town. I also sit on the Planning Advisory Committee with the Town which requires me to have a deeper understanding of the Towns Municipal Planning Strategy.
Career History - xGoogle
After graduating from Queen's University in Kingston, ON I moved to Toronto to begin my career working for a software startup company named Eloqua. As the company grew so did my career and I was offerred the opportunity to relocate to London England. While in London I landed my dream job at Google. After two years with Google London I relocated back to Toronto with Google and continued my career there. In March of 2020 I came to Wolfville with my small children and husband on a vacation. I continued to work for Google remotely for some time before my resignation in July 2022. The decision to leave was not easy, but it was the right one for me and my family. Since then I have focused my time on community, Acadia coaching, my own running, investing in local real estate, volunteering with the Town, the WBDC and of course my family.
My experience at Google has prepared me well for a position on the Town Council. Over the course of 12 years at Google, I managed multi-million dollar businesses and led large cross-functional teams to achieve significant goals. I am skilled at navigating complex problems and making decisions as part of a team. By nature, I am a listener and learner, and I lead with confidence. As our Town faces unprecedented pressure and change, there will be difficult decisions in the years ahead. I believe that I can represent the residents and the future of the Town for the best.
